1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how Bagro Mart (“Bagro Mart,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the Bagro Mart Android application and related services (the “Service”).
2. Information We Collect
Depending on how you use the Service, we may collect:
- Account information: your name, email address, mobile number, password (stored in protected form), account ID, and Google sign-in information when you choose to sign in with Google.
- Delivery information: receiver name, receiver mobile number, address label, flat or house details, landmark, full delivery address, and the map pin latitude and longitude you save.
- Location information: approximate or precise device location only when you allow location permission. This is used to help you place an address pin and check delivery availability. You can continue without granting location permission.
- Order and shopping information: items added to your bag, quantities, prices, applied promo or referral rewards, order details, delivery instructions, scheduled delivery time, and order history.
- Device and technical information: app version, device name/model, manufacturer, operating-system version, language, timezone, installation identifier, and whether the device is physical or virtual. We also store a Firebase Cloud Messaging token so we can send order updates.
- Support communications: information you provide when you contact us.
Bagro Mart currently supports Cash on Delivery. We do not collect card, bank-account, or UPI payment credentials through the customer app.
3. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- create and secure your account;
- show products, maintain your bag, and process your orders;
- confirm delivery eligibility, deliver orders, and contact you about an order;
- send order, delivery, referral, and service notifications when enabled;
- prevent fraud, misuse, and duplicate or invalid reward use;
- troubleshoot, improve reliability, and support the Service; and
- meet legal, accounting, and operational obligations.
4. When We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share only what is needed to operate the Service:
- Stores and delivery partners: the delivery address, receiver name and mobile number, order items, and delivery instructions required to fulfil your order.
- Google services: Google Sign-In is used when you select that login method. Google Maps and Places services are used to display maps, search places, and resolve addresses you choose.
- Firebase Cloud Messaging: Firebase is used to deliver order-related push notifications to your device.
- Service providers: hosting, database, email, notification, and technical service providers acting on our behalf and under appropriate safeguards.
- Legal and safety reasons: when required by law, regulation, valid legal process, or to protect users, the public, or our rights.
5. Location Permission
Location permission is optional. If you allow it, the app uses your location while you are using the address and map features to make address setup easier and improve delivery-location accuracy. We do not request background location access. You can turn location permission off at any time in Android Settings.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
We keep account, address, order, and related operational data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards when needed for order support, legal obligations, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, or record keeping. Device tokens may be replaced or removed when they are no longer valid.
You can delete saved addresses from the app. To request deletion of your Bagro Mart account or personal data, email us at bagromarts@gmail.com from your registered email address and include your registered mobile number. We may retain limited information where required by law or to resolve fraud, security, accounting, or legal matters.
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organisational measures designed to protect information. No transmission or storage system is completely secure, so please keep your account credentials private and contact us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
8. Children’s Privacy
The Service is not directed to children. Do not use the Service or provide personal information if you are not legally permitted to do so in your location.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the Service changes or as required by law. We will post the updated version on this page and revise the “Last updated” date.
